Warranty Services Assistant
BURN designs, manufactures, and distributes aspirational fuel-efficient cooking products that save lives and forests in the developing world.BURN has revolutionized the global cookstove sector by proving the business case for selling a high quality, locally manufactured and unsubsidized cookstoves.Since 2013, BURN has sold 200,000+ high quality, locally manufactured and unsubsidized jikokoas â„¢ stoves in East Africa. These stoves have helped 1,000,000+ beneficiaries save $39 million in fuel expenditures and 626,221 tons of wood while reducing indoor air pollution by 65%. BURN currently sells ~10,000 stoves per month and intend to double sales by the end of 2017.
About the role:
- Reporting to the Repair Service Coordinator, the Warranty Services Assistant will support in the execution of warranty functions across different markets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Control
- Preparing forecast of spare parts needed
- Requesting, counting, and ensuring proper storage of spare parts
- Conducting weekly stock take and preparing a report.
- Preparing the restock sheet and supervising the packing and dispatch of spare parts.
- Updating Waybill details and following up with technicians on parts received.
- Ensuring transfer orders are created and posted Creating Transfer Orders
- Reconciliation
- Conducting weekly stock reconciliation and preparing a monthly inventory report
Warranty Repairs
- Overseeing repairs at Burn Factory and field service stations
- Tracking and communicating abnormal failures
- Ensuring the relevant templates are correctly updated across all markets.
- Updating the daily repairs template and payment report
- Collaborating with the CX agent (s) to ensure service orders are created and posted for all markets.
- Following up on unreported repairs and correcting technician entries.
Service Station Supervision
- Onboarding and initial training of service stations.
- Conducting continuous training of service stations on products and processes
- Ensuring Training manuals and documents are up-to date.
- Equipping service stations with tools needed for repairs and keeping inventory of the same.
- Updating the SS Complaints sheet and addressing service station related complaints.
- Evaluating service station performance
- Preparing Service Station repair invoices
- Preparing Field reports
- Ensuring Technicians follow the repair process and adhere to set standards.
- Communicating challenges experienced by service station personnel.
- Any other task assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in Inventory control.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to communicate fluently (both verbal and written)
- Self-driven and a team player
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
