Restaurant Supervisor
Our client a group of clubs and restaurants is looking for Restaurant Supervisors to join their team.
A Restaurant Supervisor plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of a restaurant, ensuring that the establishment runs smoothly and that guests receive excellent service.
Job Description:
- Oversee and coordinate the work of restaurant staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to maintain high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Handle escalated customer issues and find effective resolutions.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and performance.
- Oversee the ordering of food and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor and control food costs and waste.
- Train new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance staff skills and performance.
- Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Assist and guide staff in explaining menu items to guests.
- Conduct regular meetings to discuss updates, goals, and areas for improvement.
- Encourage upselling and suggestive selling techniques to maximize revenue.
- Implement promotions and upselling strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and restaurant policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and drills.
Qualifications:
- Atleast 2 years experience in a similar role
- Diploma in Hospitality Management will be an added advantage
- Previous supervisory or management experience in the restaurant industry is often required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and basic computer skills.
