COUNSELOR
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development wishes to recruit qualified professionals for the vacant positions outlined below on contract terms.
COUNSELOR
The Counselor will report to the Head of Human resources in the Institute.
(a) Duties and Responsibilities will entail.
i) Providing guidance and counselling services to employees in the
Institute
ii) Organizing sensitization workshops on guidance and counselling;
iii)Providing appropriate interventions to assist employees with work
related problems;
iv)Referring employees to service agencies for counselling or treatment
as appropriate;
v) Assisting in identifying employees with social, psychological or
health related problems and providing appropriate
interventions/advice;
vi) Providing specialized assistance in liaison with other
stakeholders on guidance and counselling issues;
vii) Providing family life education including HIV and AIDS;
viii) Planning organizing and facilitating seminars and workshops on
guidance and counselling matters; and
ix) Keeping appropriate records
(b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
i) Diploma in Counselling from a recognized Institution
ii) Membership of the Kenya Counselling Association (KCA)
iii)Psychological Debriefing Course lasting not less than one week;
