Must have
Must have experience dealing with Hardware issues (diagnosis and repair), assembly, and disassembly of small electronics products, and must have experience with software (Windows and Mac Platforms). Soldering and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
Responsibilities/ Requirements
• Have knowledge of different parts of motherboards and have worked on BGA and other machinery or are willing to learn.
• Use Linux to fix the MBR, provide data backups, & for other specialized repair functions.
• Repair and upgrade existing PCs, install memory, network interface cards, hard drives, and others.
• Maintain, adjust, upgrade, service, and repair microcomputers, laptops, POS registers, networks, terminals, and peripherals.
• Replace defective components such as hard drives, power supplies, motherboards, RAM, and graphic cards. Must be familiar with various tools and equipment, such as multimeters, Oscilloscopes, soldering irons, and anti-static wrist straps, to repair hardware issues safely and effectively.
• Repair smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices, such as laptops and gaming consoles. This may involve replacing cracked screens, repairing charging ports, and resolving software issues. Must be familiar with different mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android and be proficient in using specialized tools such as suction cups and tweezers to repair mobile devices safely and effectively.
• Recovery of lost or corrupted data from damaged hard drives, flash drives, and other storage devices. Should know various data recovery techniques and software tools, such as disk imaging, file carving, and RAID reconstruction, to successfully recover data.
• Repair of PCB for PC products such as laptops, tablets, and cell phones. Be able to replace PCB components including soldering and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
• Setting up and installing new hardware and software systems.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer issues.
• Maintaining hardware and software by conducting regular maintenance and updates.
• Identifying and resolving network, connectivity, and server issues.
• Upgrading firmware, software, and outdated hardware systems.
• Providing technical support to users and resolving technical errors.
• Performing regular tests, upgrades, and backups.
• Preparing technical documents, such as error and maintenance reports.
• Creating user documents and providing training on new computer systems.
Qualifications
• Up to 3 years of related experience repairing PC motherboards (PCBs) to component level.
• Completion of high school and/or at least two (2) years of industrial electronics work, including fabrication, installation, or repair of small electronics products or a Technical associate degree in Electronics.
• Strong soldering skills.
• Practical Motherboard Repair experience
• Ability to use small hand tools.
• Ability to handle sensitive electronic components.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble Computers, Laptops, Game Consoles, Tablets, and Smartphones.
• Experience dealing with Mobile Devices Hardware (Removing and replacing Screens, Digitizers, charging ports, motherboards, and similar) on phones and tablets.
• Experience with component-level repair required.
