Carbon Sales Analyst
About the role
The role is responsible for gathering business, strategic, market and competitors’ data in different ways, including mining our own data, competitor data, and industry trends. With the data collected, the Business analyst will help develop the company’s understanding of new and existing markets as well as support the Sales department with analytics of performance and modelling of opportunities.
The role is highly analytical and requires a balance of big data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills. The analyst is expected to transform data into insights that drive business value.
Using data analytics, data visualization, and data modelling techniques and technologies, the analyst should be able to unearth insights from the data that can help other departments, managers, and executives make business decisions to improve sales performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Market Policy and Business Analysis: Produce reports detailing new and emerging market evolutions and opportunities. Gather data from a range of internal and external stakeholders and provide detailed commercial analysis for the Senior Leadership team.
- Business modelling: Model and present quantitative and qualitative risks & opportunities from existing and emerging markets to support decision-making by the Senior Leadership team.
- Decks and business proposals crafting for internal and external audiences: Under the supervision of the Head of Sales produce compelling presentations, pitches, and proposals to support internal decision-making and sales efforts with clients.
- Project Management: Support the sales executive in identifying and engaging with the key stakeholders identified in new and existing markets.
- Special Projects: Carrying out specific tasks – as defined by the Head of Carbon Sales – falling outside the scope of the role in question.
- Commercial Admin: Support the Head of Carbon Sales with analytics of past performance and modelling of the sales pipeline.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a high-profile consulting firm (preferably international) with a proven track record in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and modelling, market analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven track record of presenting analysis and business cases in front of external audiences.
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in formal and informal settings with a diverse range of stakeholders across different departments.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, organized, creative, a desire to ‘sell for good’ and a willingness to get your ‘hands dirty’.
- Professional experience with carbon markets and/or high-impact projects will be a strong plus.
- Professional experience in Europe/North America or South-East Asia will be a strong plus.
